Characteristics of the "CEM" Clutch |
| ENGAGEMENT
TIME (ET) is
the interval between the start of the signal,
namely, the application of voltage to the coil
and the beginning of the output motion. Figure
3. shows typical engagement times (in milliseconds)
of the clutch at 24 VDC over a speed range of
100 to 1000 RPM. |
DISENGAGEMENT
TIME (DT) is
the interval from the end of the signal, namely,
the cut off of the voltage to the coil to the
start of the deceleration of the output. Disengagement
times are in the order of 10-20 milliseconds using
the circuit shown in Figure 2., and 24 VDC input.
Disengagement times remain constant regadless
of the output speed. |
