Spring Wrapped and
Electro Magnetic Clutches

Our spring wrapped electro-magnetic clutches offer high torque in a small package. Aviailable in 6,12, &24 VDC our low power, 2.0 watts, unidirectional operated electro magnetic clutches are perfect for instrument drives, textiel equipment, medical devices and more.

CEM series Uni-Directional Clutches are easy to install having an enclosed compact design with either shaft or hub imput.

Engagement time is the interval between the start of the signal, namely, the application of voltage to the coil and the beginning of the output motion. Typical engagement times (in milliseconds) of the clutch at 24 VDC over a speed range of 100 to 1000 RPM.

Disengagement time is the interval from the end of the signal, namely, the cut off of the voltage to the coil to the start of the deceleration of the output. Disengagement times are in the order of 10-20 milliseconds and 24 VDC input. Disengagement times remain constant regadless of the output speed.
